Ceramic Studio Houki
All of our works are handmade. We create them so carefully that they have a tradition as well as a modernity in them. Our goal is creating a bowl that gives you more interest in cooking, helps you cook delicious dishes, and increases your loving family smiles.
Workｓ/ Tea utensils
Masakazu Houki was interested in primitive art in Africa, Central and South America, and Central Asia. And nowadays, he is creating some works which express a strong spirit of Japanese Jomon culture in them parallel to creating bowls
He is creating traditional tea utensils based on the ceramic method in ancient Lee Dynasty of Korea. At the same time, He is working on the modern and original design. He takes it most seriously that they could be used very well as tea utensils.

The studio is in Kyoto Nishiyama Atelier Village located on top of the 430m high mountain in the western edge of Kyoto.
